Alan Kay: The best way to predict the future is to create it
 
One of the fathers of the idea of object-oriented programming (which he named) and he is also considered by some as the architect of the modern windowing graphical user interface (GUI). He is an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Los Angeles, a Visiting Professor at Kyoto University, an Adjunct Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the president of the Viewpoints Research Institute, and until recently, a Senior Fellow at HP Labs.
